Welcome to Senior Project 1 with professors McGinn and Spahr.

First, some administrative stuff

Officially there are no classes on Wednesday, December 10th. If there are no objections, we will reschedule the November 26th class (a day before Thanksgiving) to meet on December 10th. (Senior Survey is Wednesday, December 17th).

Assignment 01: Book 1

In the next 3 weeks you will make a book. The text of the book will be from one of two essays, the visuals in the book will up to you. The essays you can choose from are:

*Edgar Allen Poe, On Imagination
*Mark Twain, A Plan for the Improvement of English Spelling ( dept.physics.upenn.edu/~heiney/jokes/twain.html )

Format

The book will be 8.5 inches by 5.5 inches, at least 8 pages + cover and saddle sticked.

Schedule

• 03 September : Assignment given
• 10 September : Type Studies due, rough layout of book due
• 17 September : Saddle sticked comp due
• 24 September : Final Due
